Eligibility criteria and Guidelines

  • Applicants must be Young Professionals residing in Nigeria, aged between 18 and 40 years old
  • Submissions are open to both Individuals or Teams {At least Two Members}
  • Teams may consist of members with diverse backgrounds, interdisciplinary, expertise, promoting cross-disciplinary collaboration and innovation.
  • Each Applicant or Team must have a Faculty Member, Industry Leader, or Mentor to provide guidance and support.
  • Gender Equity and Balance are strongly encouraged.
  • The proposed solution must be centered around digital technology, whether software, hardware, or both, and aimed at addressing key challenges in the energy industry
  • Solutions can be at the idea stage, prototype level, MVP, or even launched but not yet commercially scaled.
  • Participants must be available to engage in a One – day Pitch Competition.
  • Interested participants must complete the application form.
  • Submissions must include a Pitch Deck outlining the proposed idea, problem statement, innovation potential, expected impact, and commercial viability
  • The individual or the team should be able to cover their travel, and logistics to Lagos for Pitch Competition.

Evaluation Criteria

1. Uniqueness and creativity of the proposed idea

2. Relevance to the energy sector and alignment with Sustainable Development Goals

3. Feasibility and potential for implementation.

4. Commercial viability and scalability.

REWARDS

1. The Top 10 Shortlisted Entries will have the opportunity to present their projects at the NAPE YP EnergyTech Pitch – a Ton Competition.

2. Three Finalists will be selected during the competition, receiving substantial support to further develop their Ideas and Ventures.

3. Participants will gain exposure to industry professionals, potential investors, and Mentors within the Energy Sector
